Eric Davidson, President
Eric Davidson is the President and Founder of Refuge Family Ministries, also known as Soldier Refuge. He served in the United States Army between 1995 and 2007; serving tours in Korea and later in the Middle East in both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. After being injured in combat in 2003, Eric was subsequently retired from the U.S. Army. He went on to study at Stetson University with an emphasis in Exective Leadership and Business. Alongside his wife, they have built multiple successful businesses throughout the years. Although, called to the foxhole, Eric further pursued his education in Theology and Military Resilience at Liberty University. He then began counseling veteran families as a Chaplain in the Central Forida area.
In more recent years, Eric served as the CEO & Director of Veteran Affairs at McCormick Research Institute — an organization helping Veterans overcome PTSD. Eric and his wife Megin, founded Soldier Refuge—a faith-based organization dedicated to bringing hope, healing and restoration to veterans and their families through retreats and a Christ centered relationship. Today, Eric serves as a leader in the Veteran community —giving him the unique opportunity to use his experience of overcoming a Traumatic Brain Injury and post-combat trauma to counsel, pray, and minister to the veteran community.
MEG DAVIDSON,
Executive Director
Megin Davidson is the Executive Director and Founder of Soldier Refuge, a nonprofit dedicated to restoring veteran families. With over 20 years in the nonprofit sector, Megin has built and scaled multiple organizations to expand their mission and impact. She holds degrees in Psychology and Biblical Studies, and her background includes experience in marriage and family counseling, youth ministry, and business consulting.
A former youth pastor and director of multiple teen centers, Megin has mentored countless young women and supported marriages through seasons of adversity. She is a passionate advocate for foster care and adoption, and her work has empowered families to thrive against the odds.
As a military spouse, mother of three, entrepreneur, and coach, Megin brings a heart for caregivers and veteran families—blending faith, strategy, and compassion to lead transformational programs that heal and restore
